Well folks, the fishing here on the Trinity is outstanding.
We have been having a blast every day!! The salmon are still pushing through and loving the 750 cfs flows. I think these high water years are great for the fish and fishing. Give fish plenty of cold, clean water and they will respond.
I would like to thank everyone that fished with me this week - THE DURANT CLAN, MIKE, CATHERINE AND JOE, ERIC GARR, BOB DARRISH AND PAM PATTERSON AND LAURA KIEFEL (THE CATCH OF MY LIFE)!! Great job out there!
The bite is early or late in the day and cured eggs are the ticket. Focus on deep dark holes and if you don't see fish move until you do, then fish hard!! Sardine wrapped kwickfish are also working, but not the way I like to fish. Sit, watch, reel in fish, BORING!! HA!! HA!! Have fun out there people!!

Well folks, the river dropped into perfect fishing levels this week and the fishing has been good to great! The salmon are still in great shape and are crushing well presented plugs and baits. These are no doubt incredible fish. The last two days I spent with Randy Grossman and Melissa Johnson, and we just had a blast. Randy put it well, "We struck Trinity gold!!" This run of fish is shaping up to be a dandy, they started showing up early and are still coming into the lower river so if all goes well, we should see fish trickle in all summer! Give me a call to get in on these fish, I still have some dates but the calls are coming, so don't miss out!!
Good luck out there
Well folks, the salmon fishing is still hit and miss at best. The river is still a litle high and the fish aren't stopping anywhere and are shooting up to the hatchery.
The river will be dropping to 750 cfs on 7/14 and will stay there until 7/26. These 2 weeks could possibly be the hottest fishing of the summer. The river will be perfect and the fish are there. Give me a call if you would like to get in on this exciting fishing. I am also booking fall steelhead and salmon now.
Good luck out there
Hello fellow fishermen and women,
I'm really excited about getting this web site going and being able to keep you all updated to what is happening in Sweet Trinity. A big thanks to Lorena for setting this all up and going!!
Well folks, the river has been just incredible this week, we have had some really special days on the river. This is definitly one of my favorite times of the year; the summer crowds haven't arrived yet, and all the steelhead nuts are gone. The weather is great, the first chinook salmon of the year are here (and VERY tasty) there are summer steelhead (small fish, small numbers) and the sea run browns are spawning. On one special day, we boated "The Holy Trinity": a salmon, a steelhead, and a sea run German brown.
If you have the time, now is a great time to visit the Trinity. Give us a call.
Good luck out there,
